SINOPSE DE A HERDEIRA
Final do século 19. Catherine Sloper sempre se considerou uma mulher de poucos atrativos. Seu pai, o doutor Austin, a protege muito, mas não demonstra afeição por ela. De repente, Catherine conhece Morris Townsend, um homem culto e aparentemente perfeito que cai de amores por ela. Porém, Townsend não passa de um pilantra.
